Welcome to Tipple Sheet, the blog formerly known as “Spice & Ice, and more…” (previously named for my first book, “Spice & Ice,” about spicy cocktails.)
I’m a spirits and cocktail writer. Among other things, I’m the spirits reviewer at Wine Enthusiast magazine, I write the “Spirited Traveller” column for Reuters, and I’m the author of “Spice & Ice:  60 tongue-tingling cocktails,” with two more books in the works.
My work has also appeared in The New York Times, The Washington Post, Saveur, Imbibe, Food Arts, Cheers, NPR Kitchen Window and the late, much-lamented Gourmet. Previously, I was the cocktail columnist for Chile Pepper Magazine, which was how I got into spicy cocktails in the first place, and I’ve blogged about wine for Serious Eats (but these days I focus on booze, not wine).
